The Documents module provides a secure, automated solution for document collection, giving dispatchers and fleet managers a centralized platform to view, manage, and download documents uploaded by drivers through the SCALAR Cargo app for their assigned assets.
View document details #
In the Home module, from the left navigation pane > click Documents 
. The documents uploaded by drivers for assets followed by the signed-in user are displayed.
Available columns
| Column | Description |
| Driver | Name of the driver who has uploaded the documents for the asset being followed |
| Vehicle | Display name of the asset being followed |
| Document type | Type of document uploaded, for example, CMR, expense sheet, incident, picture, and weekly report |
| Upload time | Date and time stamp when the documents were uploaded |
| Status | Document status: whether treated or not treated |
| Comment | Notes or remarks entered by a driver while uploading the documents |
| Location | Location of the driver’s mobile device used to upload the documents |
| Activity | Activity for which the documents were uploaded, for example, loading, unloading, fueling, driving, and resting |
| Schedule | Represents the planned action that was being executed by the driver when they uploaded their document in a workflow For example, if the driver starts the planned “Load”‘ ” action and the workflow that opens because of it has an “upload document” entry, that document will show “Load’ in this column. If the driver starts “Load” as a non-planned activity, the Schedule column will be empty. |
| Actions | Click the overflow menu  to download the documents either as image files or a PDF. The file is downloaded to your computer. |
View document details #
You can view document metadata and other details, such as document type, status, and driver, on the Documents page.
On the Documents page, click the required record. The Document details pane is displayed to the right.
You can expand the side sheet to increase the preview size.

Preview documents #
On the Document details pane, from the Preview section, you can view one or more photos or scans uploaded by a driver.
Each document can include up to 10 photos or scans. For documents with the type ‘Signature,’ only one signature is allowed per document.
Additionally, document type ‘Signature’ can only be uploaded by a driver from within a defined workflow through the SCALAR Cargo app.
Click the Download icon to download the document as an image or a PDF. You can choose whether you want to download a single previewed photo or the complete document.
Customize column view #
You can hide or show columns on the Documents page.
On the Documents page > click Columns. To show or hide columns, from the Column display list, select or clear the checkboxes. The documents view updates based on your selected columns.
