After configuring the transportation service, you can start planning your operations.
Basically, you need to ensure that you have the right resources, vehicles and drivers to operate your service during the service hours with the service quality you are targeting.
Your service has been configured and vehicles/assets, stops and depots have been added by your Customer Success Manager. After their confirmation that this step is done, you can move on with the Shift planning:
- Create a new shift: One-time or recurring shift
- Edit a shift
Create a new shift #
In People mobility module > Shift planning page > click Add shift and follow the flow to set up the shift.
Shifts can be configured as one-time or recurring. For recurrent shifts, toggle Recurring shift at the bottom of the page, and select the weekdays for which you want your new shift to be active. You can also choose to have an end date for your recurrent shifts:
At the end of the flow, click Save. A message is displayed confirming that the shift has been created.
Edit a shift #
You can also Edit an existing shift, by clicking on it and following the flow:
You can use the detach feature to separate a specific occurrence from the series and edit it individually, or delete it. The detach feature can be used during operations to handle special cases (e.g. shorten/delete this occurrence due to an accident).
If an occurrence is detached from the series, any subsequent change to the series will not apply to the detached occurrence.
