What does it do #
Spot subcontracting is a low-entry, easy to use SCALAR solution to create a trip on the spot which can be shared with any subcontractor to get feedback during trip execution. It enables any subcontracted driver to share feedback about the assigned trip without using an app or complex workflows/procedures.
- Low-entry: the driver does not need to install any app.
- Easy to use:
- For the driver: the driver does not need to register anywhere or does not need to get instructions on how to use the solution.
- For the integrator: only the spot subcontracting API needs to be used. No other SCALAR APIs need to be accessed (no assets, drivers, places… need to be created).
How does it work #
- A trip is created via the Datahub API, which produces a unique tripID and URL. This URL can then be sent to the subcontracted driver via e-mail, WhatsApp…
NOTE:Sharing the information to the driver is not done within SCALAR.
- The unique tripID can be used to retrieve feedback on the trip.
- The driver uses the unique URL to consult the trip overview and any actions that needs be completed in order to finish the trip.
- After each action, the driver:
- can click on the “Arrive” button,
- can give feedback, if needed,
- and can click on the “Finish” button to complete the action.
