Resellers and partners sell SCALAR products directly to fleet companies. Using this module, resellers can onboard these customers as child organizations into SCALAR without involving ZF CBO (Customer Back Office) teams. Child organizations can also onboard sub-organizations through framework agreements from data sharing (see Data sharing.
Each child organization must be linked to a billing entity of the parent organization. SCALAR only conducts business with the resellers, not their customers. The reseller pays on behalf of their customer (all billing goes to the parent), while resellers may charge their child customers independently.
Parent organizations can manage multiple billing entities, often tied to regional or regulatory requirements (e.g., VAT/TAN). When onboarding a new customer, the reseller selects the appropriate billing entity based on region or business needs. The parent–child hierarchy is also visible for relationships in the context of data sharing.
SCALAR has no direct interaction with child organizations; the parent organization acts fully on their behalf.
Any updates in the parent-child relationship (link/unlink) can be tracked in Audit logs.
